Summer Reading 2008

Catch the Summer Reading Bug

smmersunThe Idaho Summer Reading Survey is now available online.  To fill out the survey, click here.  The deadline is August 29, 2008.  We appreciate your feedback!

Thank you to First Lady Lori Otter for being the Summer Reading Ambassador! She will be visiting libraries this summer to read to children and support summer reading.

Our program is part of the Collaborative Summer Library Program. We support summer reading because we know that children who read over the summer will maintain or improve their reading readiness when they go back to school. We also know that libraries and kids go together! What better place to catch the reading bug than at your public library?

The Daring Dreamers

Idaho librarians from libraries large and small from around the state guide advocacy and marketing efforts for Summer Reading. They began with a dream in 2003 and since that time have been working toward its realization. The Daring Dreamers meet twice a year.
