FAQ on the Idaho School Library Survey

NCES School ID Numbers.  Where do I find the one for my school library?  You can find the one for your school by going to the National Center for Education Statistics, NCES, homepage.  From there click on the Data Tools tab, then Search For Public Schools.  Find your school by browsing by School Name, City, County, State, etc.  Enter the NCES School ID for your school on line 2 of the survey.

I can't get logged on.  The login screen keeps coming up after I enter my login and password.  This is caused by the Pop-Up Blocker settings on Internet Explorer.  You will need to tell it to allow access to this site.  See below for directions on how to change this setting in Internet Explorer 7.

How do I tell the Pop-Up Blocker in Internet Explorer 7 to allow access to the survey?  From IE7, go to Tools, then Pop-Up Blocker, then Pop-Up Blocker Settings.  In the box type http://collect.informata.com/Login.asp and then choose Add and Close.  This should take care of the problem.  However, it may be necessary for you to reboot your computer for the settings to work.  If you still cannot log on call Informata's Technical Support department at: 1-866-785-9935.

What is the due date of this survey?  The data being collected is for the current school year.  We would like for all reports to be submitted by June 15, 2008.  If this is not possible, please contact us.  Frank Nelson or Debby Wylie.
